WHAT IS AN ACTIVITY COACH IN INCLUSIVE MARTIAL ARTS?
The role of the Activity Coach is to engage, coach and develop participants in martial arts. The Activity Coach will help participants engage with others and facilitate their personal development journey.
The Activity Coach can lead activities alone and help to develop Activity Coaches and Activators.
Prior to registration for the qualification, learners are required to:

be accurately identified

be at least 16 years of age

be able to evidence an interest in physical activity
The learner will not be eligible to run any physical activities before they are 18 without the presence of a Level 2 Activity Coach in Inclusive Martial Arts or other qualified Level 2 Coach.
WHAT WILL THE COURSE BE LIKE?
The Ikkaido Level 2 Activity Coach in Inclusive Martial Arts is in three Tiers. Each Tier is an 18-hour learner-led programme providing the structure for this further step into inclusive martial arts education.
Tier 1 checks and challenges the learner’s current understanding of martial arts.
Tier 2 gives access to The Knowledge which provides in depth learning and certification.
Tier 3 is an OFQUAL regulated and accredited qualification.

HOW MANY HOURS PER WEEK?
It's up to the learner. Participants are supported to plan and carry out their own daily well-being activities which can either fit around a busy schedule or provide structure and fun to your holidays. Participants will have a minimum of one session per week with their Tutor.

We believe that no one should be excluded from martial arts. The Activity Coach course is designed to be fully inclusive, accessible and user-friendly for everyone. The Activity Coach courses uses tried and tested methods to improve knowledge, participation and participant wellbeing in 5 key areas.
